What I Wore Wednesday...Cheetah

Today it's all about cheetah print!  This may be too much cheetah for some people, but for me it's perfect!  This hand me down dress from Charlotte Russe is one of my absolute favorites that is currently in my closet, and I was so excited to have warm enough weather to wear it without tights a few weeks ago! 

Sorry for the quality of this picture.  The last few days have been so nice and warm, and being the procrastinator that I am, I waited until yesterday evening to take my pictures for my blog post today.  Unfortunately the temperature had dropped almost 10 degrees since earlier in the day, and it was extremely chilly and windy!  There was not even one decent picture where my hair was not blowing in my face.  So I quickly ran through all my iPhone pictures and this is the best I could come up with today!

What I Wore Wednesday...A Cheetah Cardigan

Cheetah print is probably my favorite ever.  When a friend of mine gave me this cheetah print cardigan in a bag full of hand me downs, I was ecstatic about it and wore it the very next Sunday night to church.

Black Jeggings: Old Navy; Booties: Payless

Let's talk about these jeggings for a sec.  Why didn't I know these existed before now?!  I bought these a couple of weeks ago at Old Navy and I LOVE them.  They have an elastic waist.  Did you read that correctly?  Yes, you did.  An.elastic.waist.  I thought that was only okay when you're either pregnant or 80+.  But, no, ON said it's okay and so I am just dying over these.  They fit awesome (more like a jean than a legging), and the top is surprisingly slimming - and to top it off, there are no bulky zippers or buttons if you're wearing a slim fitting tshirt! I'll take these in every color they come in, thank you very much!!!

I have really gotten my money's worth out of these earrings!  I bought them at Body Central (which has closed in my local mall - so sad) and I have worn them so much!  I also really love my initial necklace (you can't see it very well) that I got from Charming Charlie, as well as this beautiful necklace that my mom got me for Christmas.

Isn't it so fun to accessorize with Cheetah print?!  I'm pretty sure it will always be a favorite!

What I Wore Wednesday...A Pretty Dress

As far as clothes go, nothing warms my heart more than a pretty dress.  Add to that dress the details of a cheetah print, a 50s style frame, and a sheer overlay, and you have me totally in love!  This dress is one of my absolute favorites, and I got so many compliments a few Sundays ago when I wore it.

The wind was crazy the day we took these pictures, and it was so extremely cold that I didn't worry too much over the quality of the pictures.  I think you can see how pretty the dress is, though!

 

 

I also wanted to share a quick pic of the necklace that I wore with this dress.  I picked this necklace up at Charming Charlie for only $8.00, and I absolutely love it!  It's simple but can be dressed up or down.

 

Don't you love all the small details? I will forever love a cheetah print, and when it's paired with an elegant dress, you will just about never go wrong!

New Purchases & New Wishes...

I told you a couple of weeks ago that I wanted to share some of the purchases I have made from off of my fall wish list I shared with you a few weeks ago.  I'm also going to share a few things that I am currently wanting! 

First of all, the elbow patch sweater...I LOVE this sweater!  It is so soft and has a great quality feel to it, and best of all, it has the elbow patches I was looking for!!!  I purchased it at JC Penney, and with their fabulous rewards, I was able to snag this beauty for under $15!

 

 

Next, I have been on the prowl for some leather...I'm pretty much in love with everything leather right now.  I purchased this leather jacket at Target and surprisingly, the sleeves fit great, which is always a challenge for me (sleeves are always way too long).

 

 

I have also been looking for some leather leggings, and I found some at Forever 21 (thanks to my sister Katie for sending me there!).  The leggings only cost me $12, so I was pretty excited about that!  I couldn't find the ones I bought online, so I will have to share a picture once I wear them.

 

One new thing that I want is a tartan scarf...I love the look of these scarves, and can't wait to find one...

 

 

 

I also want a pair of these shoes from Payless!  They are currently priced at $35.00, though, so I'm going to have to wait until they come down on the price a little bit!

 

 

So there you have just a few of my most current items on my wish list.  I'm afraid, though, that spending will be halted for a while...Christmas is coming, not to mention a trip to Disney World, and right after that a mission trip with my family to Guatemala!!!  So we have some big expenses coming up.  But a girl can dream; right?  Hopefully these fun things will be there after all of these expenditures are taken care of.  And if not, I guess I didn't really need them in the first place.  *Do I really believe that? No. But it sounds good.*

Hi, I'm Stacy!  Although Katie would have you believe that she is the "middle child", actually she and I share that honor.  I am the second born in our family and kind of love the fact that I can say that I'm not the oldest and I'm not the youngest! :) My husband and I have three girls, Kylie (10), Kenzie (8), and Kolbie (3).  We are church planters, and after three years are still learning daily what that actually means!  We're having a blast doing what we're doing, though, and you can find out more about my family and what we're up to over at my family blog, Murphy Family Madness.
 
Enough about me, though, let's talk about clothes!  When it comes to fashion, I love all the "little" details.  Sometimes I love to have a statement piece, so to speak, but generally I love all the small things in my outfit that come together to give it cohesiveness.

This dress that I wore on Sunday was very simple, but I felt like all the "details" made it nice.  The dress itself had a lace crochet overlay with rose details on it, which I absolutely love.  The neck of the dress is very pretty, with a lot of detail, as well.  The cheetah print wedges made the dress itself a little more "fun", and my Betsey Johnson cheetah print watch is always fun to wear!  The highlight of my new outfit, though, was my new Michael Kors bag!  I have wanted an MK for a long time, and I was so excited when a friend at church and my husband surprised me with my first (and probably last!) MK bag!
